GVI, Inc., a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking an Engineer in Charleston, SC.

This position will provide systems engineering, technical, and management support services to Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic in support of various United States Marine Corps (USMC) and United States Navy (USN) program offices.

This support encompasses life cycle engineering and lifecycle logistics support for multiple command and control (C2) projects within the Command and Control Situational Awareness (C2SA) Integrated Product Team (IPT) at NIWC Atlantic.

Position Responsibilities:

Provide lifecycle engineering and lifecycle logistics support to USMC and Navy forces worldwide:
a.) USMC Blue Force Tracking (BFT) Project

b.) USMC Mobility C2SA Project

c.) Fly Away Broadcast System (FABS) Project

d.) Navy BFT Project

e.) Navy Mobility C2SA Project

f.) Military Sealift Command (MSC) BFT Project

Perform engineering disciplines for the development of new C2SA and project specific system capabilities, development of alterations to existing system designs, integration and interface of existing equipment and software into platforms to support the warfighter, and evaluation of systems, equipment, and technologies.
This includes performance of scientific analytical and engineering efforts necessary to transform operational needs into unique system performance parameters for evolution into improved system capabilities.
Support the engineering effort required to prepare and assure that the detailed technical data documentation that is necessary to support system development reflects the latest design, configuration, integration, and installation concepts.
Ensure technical documentation be in a form of paper, electronic (digital) or interactive computer systems
Support design, development, drawings, and technical writing for all C2SA IPT projects.
This may include hardware and installation kit drawing changes per approved Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and support for form fit and Val/Ver events.
Develop the Engineering Design Plan (EDP) in accordance with the NIWC Atlantic EDP format.
Provide system engineering support for Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs) for all new designs that may lead to drawing revisions via Engineering Drawing Request (EDR), ECPs, and Notice of Revision’s (NORs).
Support the development of engineering documentation for systems within C2SA IPT.
Position Requirements:

US Citizen.
Active Secret Clearance.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics Software Engineer, Computer Science, or computer related degrees.
Must have Six (6) years of experience in Command, Control, Communications, Computers Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance to include: Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment Support, Test and Evaluation, and Logistics support of C4ISR requirements.
Must have three (3) years of technical experience in support of C4ISRProjects. Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
Working towards the following certifications within one and a half year after assuming duties:
Professional Software Engineering Master (PSEM)/ Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) or with COR approval complete a vendor/platform specific certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Applications Developer (MCAD), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Sun Certified Professional (SCP), Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP), CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CISCO Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), etc.).
