This position is primarily responsible for providing support to physicians and nurses by facilitating patient flow, assisting with various patient care activities, and performing related administrative and clerical functions. This position is responsible for providing optimal service to patients, respecting and demonstrating patient confidentiality, and working within the established parameters of the job at all times. All candidates must complete a pre-employment competency exam.


JOB SPECIFICATIONS:


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without accommodation. Familiarity with equipment used in ambulatory care. Ability to work in stressful conditions and difficult situations. Resilient and flexible in a changing environment. May be exposed to hazardous materials and life threatening diseases. Ability to cooperate and work with others. Ability to make sound and timely decisions. Ability to work rotating shifts any day of the week. Ability to perform lifting/transfer activities related to patients as needed, ability to stoop/bend. Other duties as assigned by management.


QUALIFICATIONS:


High school diploma or equivalent. Certification requirement may be waived with verifiable on-the-job training and experience It is an essential part of the job that the employer can ask the employee to work beyond his/her regularly scheduled hours. 1 or more years clinical experience in a clinic setting is preferred. Health Care Assistance certification is required within 180 days from date of hire. Effective prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time is required. Effective communication skills with the ability to promote positive relationships and a customer-focused work environment is required. Ability to work within a self-directed team setting is required.. New program graduates will be considered.
