Job Description:
Provide expertise in reliability engineering as an individual contributor with the goal of contributing to and quantifying the reliability of optical, mechanical and-or battery subsystems.
Be responsible for the engineering aspects of reliability tests, including working with the specification, usage model, development engineers and the DFMEA to assure that the test conditions and readouts are updated and meaningful. Propose and plan new tests, as appropriate, to quantify failure modes and-or design corrections.
Identify and follow up failures or degrades in devices reported by test engineers, support initial FA, analyze the data, communicate and collaborate with the development team on the next steps and documentation including centralized shared tracking systems.
Participate in related R&D team meetings and review meetings where relevant, particularly on root cause analysis, failure reproduction, risk reduction design actions and corrective design actions.
