About the job
Business Unit Manager (BUM) responsible for all major business activities related to custom engineered parachute products for North American defense markets. Responsibilities include leading new business and product development, preparing the business plan for the product line, including strategy for new and existing products, pricing structure, sales forecast, advertising and promotion, managing internal and external salespeople and reps, and negotiating contracts to ensure that they conform to company policy and product line strategic business plan. Responsibilities also include P&L, focus on meeting annual growth plans and operating profit margin targets.
Qualifications
Military Background â jumping is a plus
No military background but skydiving experience can also work
Leadership skills - Experience leading cross functional teams a plus
Drive - This position leads and drives the Business
Autonomous decision making - The expectation is the BUM can accomplish desired end state without micromanagement
Work in the office Pennsauken, NJ â have to be onsite to lead a cross functional team
Travel 50% to start â 35% once you develop relationships with all your customers
Bachelors required - MBA a plus but business / sales experience is more important
