Business Systems Analyst

Federated Hermes, Inc., a leading global investment manager, is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our Business Information Services Division and provide support to our Investment Management Operations Division.

In this role, you will solve business problems by performing business analysis, preparing requirements specifications, and testing for relevant business process modifications, applications, and/or reporting enhancements.

What you can expect:
As a Business Systems Analyst, you will:
• Work collaboratively with the business unit (Investment Management Operations) to define business objectives and requirements and provide consultative support as needed regarding applications and business processes
• Evaluate business needs, in collaboration with the team, and recommend potential solutions, including integration and interfacing with existing systems or third-party vendors
• Collaborate with various internal and external team members as well as select clients, as needed, for effective project coordination
• Work with technical and development staff to conduct unit, system, and user acceptance testing. This includes developing and publishing test specifications, preparing test data, and creating user acceptance testing documents

What we are looking for:
• Bachelor degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
• A minimum of 2 years of systems/business analysis experience; or, a combination of business experience (financial services or securities) and information technology experience
• Experience working with relational databases writing Structured Query Language (SQL)
• Experience in financial services or securities industry is a plus!
