Delivery Driver Job Descriptions (FedEx Ground)

We are seeking bright, motivated, hardworking individuals to fill Delivery Driver positions! This position will be “HOME EVERYDAY”.

Experience

Candidate must have 1 year of verifiable Non-commercial driving experience in the last 3 years. Driving

experience can come from a wide variety of industries such as Uber/Lyft, military, construction, and more.

Responsibilities:

· Drivers drive a DOT Regulated, non-Commercial delivery truck to drop off FedEx packages to customers within their community.
· Drivers must be able to remain compliant to operate a DOT Regulated vehicle, including obtaining a Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
· You must be able to move boxes up to 150lbs, will have the necessary equipment for heavy packages
· You must be able to work: Monday to Saturday (6 days), Tuesday to Sunday (6 days), Wednesday to Sunday (5 days), and Weekend Only (2 days Sat & Sun).
· You must follow strict safety and compliance standards on and off the road
· You can plan on working a minimum of 2 days a week (Only Sat & Sun) for part-time and 5/6 days a week for full-time.
· Typical working day is 10 hours.
· You’ll secure packages to ensure no damage is caused to customer shipments.
· You’ll inspect vehicle equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
· You'll interact with FedEx customers and the public in a professional and positive manner.
· You'll use handheld technology to manage the delivery process
· Deliver on average 100+ packages on your route

· Valid State Driver’s License is required.
· 21 years or Older

Physical Demands: Drivers are required to stand, walk, sit, and drive a company-provided vehicle. Drivers are required to reach and lift with both hands and both arms. Drivers must be able to lift and move items up to 150 pounds in a single package with the use of material handling equipment such as lifting straps and dollies. Good manual dexterity skills are required as well as good eye-hand coordination. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Drivers operate vehicles in urban, suburban, and rural settings. Must be comfortable communicating with Customer Support, Driver support and supervisor through provided mobile device.
